Sony Ericsson has unveiled its latest clamshell dubbed ‘W51S.’ The new Sony Ericsson phone features Organic Light Emitting Device (OLED) on the front cover that illuminates icons the when it receives a call, message or notice. It also sports a 2.7-inch display with 16:9 widescreen utilizing RealityMAX technology to enhance picture quality.
In addition, the Sony Ericsson W51S mobile phone also includes a 2 megapixel camera, 120MB of internal memory, which can be boosted with Memory Sticks. The phone boasts of having 3.5hrs of talk-time and 270hrs standby.
The Sony W51S phone will be available in a choice of black, gold and pink. The black W51S phone is the carbon-fiber like finish, the pink one has pretty floral patterns and the gold one is just classy and smooth.
However, it will be released in Spring 2007 ONLY in Japan, on KDDI. Wonder if it ever leaves the shores of Japan and goes elsewhere too. No word on the pricing of the Sony Ericsson W51S phone yet.
