Asus Galaxy P835 dubbed as the Omnia-killer ?
Asus Galaxy P835 is a new phone from Asus that will retail sometime around the 1st Quarter of 2009 in Europe. It has also been said to be the Omnia-killer since it kind of resemble to the Samsung Omnia, but then, considering the specs would probably make you see a difference.
There were plans that this phone will be powered by an 800MHz Marvell CPU processor, but what we have now is only a 528MHz Qualcom MS7200A. This phone will also run Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with a custom Glide User Interface which is on par with the TouchFlo 3D UI. Aside from that, the Asus Galaxy will have 5-megapixel camera, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, accelerometer and a 512MB internal memory which can be expanded to 4GB through the microSD slot. The screen will sport a large 3.5 inches of 800 x 480 pixel display.
The Asus Galaxy P835 is said to retail for a hefty $737, which is indeed a very expensive handset from Asus.
