Swiss Watchmaker Ulysse Nardin to Launch Ltd. Edition 'Kinetic' Smartphone

Famed Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has partnered with European firm SCI Innovations to create what's being billed as the world's first hybrid smartphone, blending a high-tech communications tool with a classic and elegant timepiece. Dubbed the Chairman, the luxurious limited edition phone pairs cutting-edge kinetic technology with the pedigree of Ulysse Nardin, founded in 1846. The Chairman will be launched at the Ulysse Nardin booth at BaselWorld in Switzerland at the end of the month, and will go on sale later this year.

While details are limited, we can tell you that the phone will be able to use any mobile phone service provider in the world and includes several components never seen before in a smartphone. A Ulysse Nardin kinetic rotor system has been incorporated into the Chairman's mechanical and aesthetic design. The blue and rose gold phone is hand-assembled under the watchmaker's strictest guidelines, and each bears a numbered plaque.

"My Dior" Mobile Phone

Christian Dior has branched out into the mobile/cellular phone universe with the "My Dior" phone, by ModeLabs. It took three years to develop the clamshell, which will be available in two versions: a $5,000 basic version and a $26,000 luxury version, which features a 2.6 touch screen with an integrated media player and is decorated with 640 stones of 3,251 carats of Swarovski crystals imprinted on a crocodile skin case. Ringtones are proposed to be Dior's voice as well as music. Look for marketing to begin this month. This phone is just beautiful, but I'd be terrified of dropping or losing it!

24K Gold Horoscope Phone Straps

If a diamond phone strap is a bit too much for you, or if you simply like the semi-personalized nature of zodiac/horoscope symbols, a 24K Gold Horoscope Phone Strap might be just what you're looking for. Each one features a small, golden animal representing one of the symbols of the Chinese horoscope, like the boar pictured here. The strap that it dangles from is far less impressive, but perhaps some tradeoffs must be made to keep it affordable. Each strap is 30,000 yen ($251).

Diamond Studded Mobile Phone Strap

Diaddict, a designer Japanese brand that specializes in jewelry, has recently come out with a one-of-a-kind, diamond-studded strap for mobile phones. The accessory features a 6.02-carat yellow diamond, as well as 2.1-carats in clear, white diamonds, a .61-ct. blue diamond and a .36-ct. pink diamond. Stunning to look at, it is currently on display at the Takashimaya Co. departments store in Nihombashi, Japan. Its listed price is 100 million yen ($842,000) .

Diamond Nokia N95

The latest in blinged out cellphones is the Diamond Nokia N95, and there's no argument that it's 'doing the bling thing' in a big way. Coming from Alexander Amosu, the phone is a combination of 18k solid gold and 3.30 carats of high-quality diamonds. Available in a limited edition of only 10, each phone is custom set with 325 diamonds and the owner's choice of white gold or classic gold (white gold for me all the way), and of course each will be numbered from 1-10. Name or initials also available, $24,482.

Motorola V8 Luxury Phone

If the iPhone isn't on your holiday list maybe the new Motorola RAZR2 V8 Luxury Edition will catch your eye. The phone has 18K gold-plated accents with a black metal finish, a soft-touch back with a snakeskin look and details such as pin stripes, an engraved diamond-cut pattern on the sideband and a linear etching on the navigation wheel. The phone includes the Opera mobile browser, a 2.0 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom that also provides up to 2 hours of video capture and playback, 2Gb of storage for up to 1,000 songs, and a large external screen so you can manage music and read texts without opening the flip. it also comes with a matching black Motorola H680 Bluetooth headset with 18k gold-plated accents.

Apple iPhone 3G, Studded with Diamonds

I'm not generally a big fan of diamond-encrusted cell phones but I think the iPhone lends itself to the idea better than others because it's so sleek and has such a limited area where diamonds can be placed. Claiming to be the world's first real diamond-studded iPhone, the Apple iPhone 3G by Swiss jeweler Knalihs Athem is made with 475 brilliant cut diamonds totaling 3.75 carats. Only 50 iPhone 3G handsets will be created on a made-to-order basis, with the first 10 units being sold at the special price of $10,000. iPhones 11-50 will be priced "sharply upwards."

I'm not sure what that translates to exactly but it sounds like if you want one you better move fast.

LG Strawberry Chocolate Phone

If you like pink, you'll love the new LG Strawberry Chocolate phone. Available exclusively from Verizon wireless, the bright pink phone joins the Cherry, Mint and White Chocolate phones already in the LG Chocolate lineup. The phone offers an mp3 player, 1.3 megapixel camera, speakerphone, Bluetooth and a memory expansion slot for SanDisk 2GB cards. On top of all the tech specs, an optional accessory for the phone is a Hershey's Carrying Pouch, which comes with a Hershey's Hugs Chocolates Charm and coupons for a free Special Dark chocolate bar (the edible kind). The phone is $99, with a 2-year contract.

Samsung Plans Gold Phone For The Olympics

Those at China's Olympics can keep in touch with a gold phone. Samsung will make a special 18-carat gold-plated mobile phone in China to celebrate the Olympics in Beijing. The P318 phone will be black with gold trim and gold along the bottom half of its back. The phone will only be sold in China and no launch date has been set yet.

The $2,000 Motorola Aura

Now that's a phone. The $2,000 Motorola Aura is here, and lookalikes are bound to follow.

The Aura has the world's first circular display with 16 million colors and a 300 dpi resolution. The lens isn't just scratch resistant, it's Grade 1 62-carat sapphire crystal. The casing is stainless steel, coated with PVD coating (like on a luxury watch), and it rotates open with the help of 130 precision ball bearings.

All the usual technologies (2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Open Source browser) are included in this sleek, attractive 47.60 x 96.87 x 18.55mm phone.

Blackberries are for assistants.

Just in time for the holidays, you can order one now to be shipped out December 4th.

Goodbye TV ads, hello cell phone messages

The 2.5 billion mobile phones around the world can potentially reach a much bigger audience than the planet's billion or so personal computers. The number of mobile phones in use is also growing much faster than the number of computers, especially in poorer countries.

Advertisers estimate that nearly half of their messages miss the target market. But unlike the case of TVs, most people carry their cell phones along at all times.

Sounds like a perfect channel for delivering highly individualized ads? Vodafone and Virgin think so too. And though the idea of receiving advertisement on your phone may seem irritating, unsolicited text messages meet with limited opposition from consumers in the Middle East. The Economist has more.

Nokia E51 with yellow gold and gems

Other than the million-dollar Kings Button iPhone 3G, Peter Aloisson has also decked out the Nokia E51, and there are two models available – the Nokia E51 “Blossoms of the Eight” and the Nokia E51 “Terezzo” (pictured above). The Nokia E51 “Blossoms of the Eight” is made of solid 18 carat yellow gold. It comes beautifully hand engraved with a design of lotus blossoms and the lucky number “8.” On the other hand, the Nokia E51 “Terezzo” is made of solid 18 carat yellow gold. The handset is encrusted with a variety of individually hand cut citrines, amethysts and/or tourmalines. Each gem is being specially hand cut and polished to fit the design of this fantastic piece. The Blossoms of the Eight and the Terezzo are priced at €19,000 and €32,000 respectively. The Nokia E51 “Blossoms of the Eight” is pictured after the jump.

A Very Expensive Mobile Phone

Recent surveys tell that most Japanese choose their phones by appearance. Funny that they seem still packed with features, from mobile TVs to barcode readers.

Japanese phone development seem to be driven by the operators, and they are pushing hard for collaborative design on phones. Nowadays you see phone models named with X's, which means to collaborate with fashion brands and magazines.

A very recent example is Sharp X Tiffany. Among ten new models SoftBank has released was the 823SH Tiffany Model.

The phone is covered with platinum and comes with 537 diamonds on top. There's this Deco-den trend in Japan, which typically covers the surface of the phone with swarovsky crystals, but this is a real thing. It costs 12,980,000 JPY (103,000 EUR), and will be limited to 10 models.

The question is whether people will buy it -- and I bet they will.

Chanel Choco phone

The development of the mobile phone market monopoly slower than normal ones. This is why a lot of reach and consists in the fact that a very famous person to buy an expensive mobile phone panbon prefer limits. Typically, these devices to distinguish between the original traditional ones, they do only the first class design. The new mobile phone monopoly at the same Chanel represents one of the devices.

Most Expensive Bling Bling IPod

On my last post I mentioned about the World’s most expensive mobile phone set. So that search led me to find one of the most expensive iPod. Till now I don’t know if it is the World’s most expensive mobile but the glittering iPod surely seems to be one of the eye-catching iPod of all time. I had read and seen about Golden iPod but this time it is the bling bling iPod. Even the earphones are glued with pieces of diamonds. I thought the price would go as much as 100K but it remains at $20,000 USD.

The most expensive MP3 Player

Techno craftsman Gresso are better known for their African Blackwood mobile phones. The collection of phones are beautifully constructed out of 200 year old wood and have placed Gresso in a unique market where wooden craftsmanship meets technology.

Now, Gresso have developed their own line of MP3 players called, The Symphonia Collection. The model is again crafted from African Black wood, whilst the front panel is made of a scratch resistant 18 carat gold surface. The idea behind it's conception is for the Symphonia to be worn as a piece of jewelry rather than an MP3 on a lanyard. With this exceptional finish, this is easily achieved.

The Symphonia Collection holds 1 GB of memory and when it debuts later this year will be priced between US$4000 - $6500. At that price, I'll take six and an extra one for the maid.

Vertu introduces its next Mobile phone Signature Dragon

Vertu is rolling on its next most expensive mobile phone as Signature Dragon. The stylishly designed mobile phone is all wrapped in a jewel-encrusted reptilian beast that makes the candy bar phone one of its kind. All those who don’t bother dropping thousands of dollars can find the Signature Dragon at Vertu’s Wynn Las Vegas store.

Vertu is yet to announce its technical features and other application including the price of the phone. Considering Vertu range of all expensive mobile phones including Signature Cobra one can simply gauge it as another expensive phone on its way.

The phone no doubt will be packed with hi end features but the jewel coated sharp edges of the phone won’t be very comfortable against the face. Whatever be it we look forward for the Signature Dragon Phone.

Most Expensive iPhone

Austrian luxury designer and jeweler Peter Aloisson, creator of one of the world’s most expensive cell phones, has quite literally outdone himself. Last year, he created the world’s most expensive iPhone—the iPhone Princess Plus. This year, he’s created… the world’s most expensive iPhone.

The “Kings Button” [sic] iPhone is, like its predecessor, a jewel-bedecked iPhone. This time, however, Aloisson had the iPhone 3G to play with—and, apparently, a bit of a bigger budget. One hundred and thirty-eight brilliant-cut diamonds line the sides of the phone, but the real prize is the home button—a rare 6.6 carat white diamond.

Last year’s Princess Plus got its name from the Princess cut used on 138 of the 318 diamonds on its surface. The other 180 diamonds on the phone were brilliant-cut. In total, the phone has 17.75 carats of diamonds set in 18k white gold around its rim. The iPhone Princess Plus is worth $176,400 while the somewhat more pedestrian “Brilliants only” version sold for $66,150.

Compare that to the Kings Button’s $2.4 million price tag.

Casio Presents the Waterproof W61CA

Casio is proud to announce the creation of their newest innovation, a waterproof cellular phone. What a wonderful idea for all of us who have been caught in the rain or missed a call because we could not answer, afraid our cell phone would suffer the irreparable consequences of water damage.

The Casio W61CA supports au Smart Sports’ “Run & Walk,” which allows your mobile phone to assist in your exercise routine. Run & Walk allows the user to take advantage of receiving advice from a trainer through their cellular phone. With a stylish and easy to hold onto design, the Casio W61CA can be preset with fitness targets unique to each user. What a wonderful innovation from Casio for the health minded handset user!

Sony Ericsson Black Diamond

Vertu Diamond

the Vertu Diamond, costing buyers $88,000. This cell phone will only be available to the first two hundred buyers, and boasts diamond encrusting as well as a platinum body.

virtu cobra

$310,000 is the Vertu Signature Cobra. The stunning design featured on this cell phone was created by French jeweler Boucheron. It features two emerald eyes and 439 rubies.

GoldVish, the luxury phone company that is affiliated with sightholder Dianish, will exhibit in Basel this year, displaying a million-euro diamond enc

Like ultra expensive luxury cell phones, million dollar laptops and gold plated TVs, the market for the world's most expensive MP3 player is still a mystery to me. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm not fascinated that someone out there thinks they need it.

The player, which was created by Lorsch, was cast in 18 karat gold and adorned with 63 diamonds. Besides the gold-and-diamond exterior the i Beat Organix Gold player features a 1GB memory, a stereo FM radio, integrated voice recorder and an ultra-rich price tag of $20,000. In other words, it has half the features of the Insignia 4-Gigabyte MP3 and Video Player, which costs $160, only it's dipped in gold.

GoldVish, the luxury phone company that is affiliated with sightholder Dianish, will exhibit in Basel this year, displaying a million-euro diamond encrusted phone that is the ultimate in over-the-top functional luxury. The diamond-encrusted TV and the diamond iPod headphones are just publicity stunts in comparison, as GoldVish’s business model actually seems to be working (although the million-euro phone is definitely aimed at the large press contingent in Basel.) “GoldVish is ready to expand, market, and distribute the most exclusive cell phone brand on a global scale,” says Michel Morren, company founder. “There is no better location to take this important step than at Baselworld, the world’s leading show for the watch and jewelry industry.”

Euro Million Mobile Phone

Goldvish manufactures & designs the most luxurious and prestigious cell phones in the world - and that's certified by the Guinness Book of Records!

Now they have commissioned three 'Pieces Unique', valued at €1 Million/$1,298,000 each. One of these telephones has already been sold to a Russian businessman.

Goldvish's ultimate mobile phones are made with 18 carat gold set with top quality diamonds and incorporating advanced quad band technology.

The GoldVish collection consists of fifteen different versions and up-grades with prices starting at €20.300. Specifications include: Bluetooth, a 2GB memory, an 8x digital camera, MP3 player, worldwide FM radio and e-mail capability.

They are available in 18 Carat solid gold, yellow, white or rosé gold.

Goldvish, a Geneva-based company, has firmly established its position as the market leader in the exclusive segment of personal communication by introducing the worlds’ most luxurious cell phone collection.

Established by Michel Morren and Gregor Snip, the company’s uniqueness is based on combining three distinctive worlds: exclusive jewellery, haute couture and the ever-developing world of technology.

Goldvish 1.3 million dollar Mobile Phone

Luxury communication goods company based in Geneva, introduced the world's most exclusive cell phone collection. The reason it costs so much is that mobile phone is made of 18-karat solid gold, available in rose, yellow or white gold, and diamonds, all of D-E color and none less than VVS-1 clarity grade, as certified in the accompanying diamond grading reports.Besides GoldVish cell phone is equipped with the quad-band for effortless worldwide reception, a camera and MP3 player, along with other features. The mobile phone is hand-made in Switzerland and cell phones are for men and women with or without diamonds.

This Diamond Cell Phone is Da Bomb

Emirates Business News today features the GoldVish Le Million cell phone, which costs $1.45 million and is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most expensive phone in the world!

Designed by Emmanuel Gueit, production was limited to three units. Called “LeMillion”, it is handcrafted from 18-carat gold and is available in rose, yellow or white gold, with 120-carat diamonds encrusted all over it.

Handmade in Switzerland, it comes with a 2GB memory, quad-band for worldwide reception, an 8x digital zoom camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth and FM radio.

However, GoldVish also offers other diamond-encrusted 18k gold models starting at the more reasonable price of $25,600.

Those who would love a less expensive rival can go for the iPhone Princess Plus made by Australian designer and jeweler Peter Aloisson, which costs only $176,400.

The Princess Plus iPhone is encrusted with 318 diamonds of 17.75 carats – 138 of which are princess-cut, which is why the phone is named Princess Plus – with the other 180 brilliant-cut, all set in an 18-karat white gold rim.

The Princess Plus already has its first customer: the phone has been purchased by a Russian businessman, who received his extravagant handset earlier this year.

And there seem to be others in Russia willing and able to flaunt such uber-luxury mobile handsets. Euroset in Russia has imported a GoldVish phone and plans to open a GoldVish boutique in Moscow some time next year.

The Princess Plus has the same 8GB iPhone chassis and incorporates the same features on the regular iPhone, such as the touch screen, e-mail capability, video camera and web browser.

Those who want the glamor of GoldVish, but not on the iPhone chassis, can find an array of phones that have received the Aloisson treatment, such as the Nokia Communicator E90.

The device is made of solid platinum and 18-carat rose gold, and lined on both sides by 25 half-carat princess cut diamonds.

There is also the Ancort Diamond Crypto Smartphone with 3,000 diamonds of top quality priced at $7000,000, the Motorola V4688-90 studded with 1,200 diamonds going for $78,000, and the Sony Ericsson T68, an 18-carat yellow and white gold-studded phone with 892 diamonds, priced at $29,000.

Aloisson is a jeweller renowned for mixing latest technology and gadgets with art and jewelery.

In 1998, he designed his first diamond encrusted phone, the Motorolla V4688-90, and later broke the record for the world’s most expensive mobile phone with the Le Million. Aloisson also designs interiors and furniture.

Mental Million Dollar Mobile

What would you buy with a cool million dollars? A mobile phone? No, me either, but Austrian craftsman Peter Aloisson is hoping some people will, as he's going to be crafting the world’s first million-dollar mobile.
This won't be the first 'high end' luxury mobile phone. Nokia started the trend with the hideous Vertu, loved, apparently, by Madge and Posh. the followed the Samsung and Bang and Olufsen Serene. But the Serene is only £1,000, and the Vertu a slightly more wallet-damaging $84,000. But $1 million for a mobile? WTF?!
Of course the mobile phone will feature solid gold parts with 2,590 diamonds, but surely they're better placed (and, some would argue, ever so slightly less vulgar) on, say, jewellery?! And no doubt, following the trend set by the other high end phones, the features of this one will be pants as well. To those who go and buy one, simply: Why?!

World's most expensive mobile costs one million dollars

This is the world?s most expensive mobile phone. The shimmering handset is encrusted with diamonds and is worth a staggering £500,000, or one million dollars.

The pricey phone was on display at the Salon Top Marques exhibition in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The exhibition is a showcase of some of the world's most expensive cars and cutting-edge design. One observer said: "Only the super rich or Premiership footballers will be able to afford something like this."

Till now I thought the Nokia Vertu, Moto SLVR and Goldvish were the only expensive phones, and now there is one more, its worth 1.3 million dollars. 1.3 million dollar for this phone??? Well the price is totally based on the looks of the phone. The phone, which is made by a Russian, has been embedded with diamonds on its left and right border. There are diamonds even on the keypad of the phone. There are total of 50 diamonds. Each one is a blue diamond of 0.5 - 2 carat. The phone is completely made from platinum with logo and button's made out of gold. The phone has been introduced in the market by the company "Ancort".
